nothing to lose everything to win
our time is up, our chance's getting thin
a slight glance behind to learn from the past
quick breaches of hope but it never lasted
a tear in the madness of our ways
that sparks the faith to see better days
an uncertain version of the world
lay somewere in this chaotic whirled
ideals crushed by reality
no shortcut to bypass humanity
Are we ready to make the distance
on the unsure path of resistance
force our way into the unknown
and make this world our own
freedom come with a cost
no warmth no unity only ink on a page
an horizon that can't fill our dream an illusionnal sunset
inflated ego, soaked in unreachable concept
prayers for slogans, blinded faith in any remedy we can get
a balm on on our tortured soul
healing injuries we tried so hard to forget
sinners for traitors same dogmas distincted color
can't built a masterpiece of empathy out of a pile of apathy
no warmth no unity only ink on a page
standing on the edge of myself
dry with nothing left to be burn
i gave it all with nothing to earn
only the pain with no lesson learned
every bridge built or hand lay at me
every empty lies about setting us free
was only to sale me a crooked version of what we could be
traded sanity for solidarity
dug a hole cause i thought our dream were reachable
looked throught this mess from every angle
seeked for corners in a circle
and when i look in the depth of your tortured eye
i can only see a disgusting reflection of myself
in an unreachable version of us
freedom became a state of mind
can break our chains so we make them amples
but how do we heal the wounds around our ankles
